King Charles Meets Jewish Community Amid Prince Harry’s Comments on Rising Antisemitism

King Charles III visited the Golders Green area of London on Thursday, showing support for the city’s Jewish community following a series of recent antisemitic incidents.

According to Buckingham Palace, the monarch’s visit focused on meeting members of the community affected by growing tensions and attacks in the area.

During his visit to a Jewish Care centre in North-West London, Charles reportedly spoke with victims of the knife attack that took place on April 29, 2026.

The King also met with members of Shomrim, the community security and neighbourhood patrol organisation that helped respond to the incident.

Buckingham Palace said the visit was intended to reaffirm the monarch’s support for the Jewish community at a time of increasing concern over antisemitism in Britain.

The royal engagement came shortly after comments made by Prince Harry in an article for New Statesman.

In the piece, Harry described the rise in antisemitism across the UK as “deeply troubling” and stressed that anger surrounding events in the Middle East should never be used to justify hostility toward people because of their religion or identity.

The Duke of Sussex also appeared to criticise some policies of the Israeli government, while making it clear that peaceful protest should not cross the line into hatred or discrimination.
