New royal aide reportedly wants the brothers to reconcile for King Charles’ sake
King Charles’ ongoing tensions with his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, are once again under the spotlight as a new royal aide is said to be pushing for peace within the family.
According to reports, Theo Rycroft, a former diplomat who recently joined royal ranks, believes the feud between the brothers has gone on long enough and wants efforts made toward reconciliation.
A source claimed Rycroft feels someone needs to “knock their heads together” because the situation surrounding the royal family has become “f****** ridiculous.” The insider added that many within royal circles reportedly agree with his stance.
The source also suggested that King Charles’ personal distress over the family divide is one of the main reasons behind the renewed push for peace. Rycroft is said to view part of his role as helping the monarch mend ties with Harry while also encouraging William and Harry to move forward.
According to the insider, the aide believes the brothers should “shake hands” and allow the King the opportunity to rebuild his relationship with the Duke of Sussex.
Rycroft previously worked in the Foreign Office and served as minister and deputy head of mission at the British Embassy in Paris between 2021 and 2025. He reportedly worked closely with King Charles III during the monarch’s US state visit with Donald Trump.
Because of his diplomatic background and growing influence within palace circles, reports claim Rycroft is now considered one of the most respected figures working alongside the King.
