Meghan Markle reportedly has never visited Balmoral
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly received private invitations to visit Balmoral and the Sandringham Estate as speculation continues over whether King Charles may reunite with the Duke of Sussex and his family in the coming months.
Members of the royal family traditionally spend part of August and September at the Scottish retreat of Balmoral Castle, where they enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, fishing and family picnics.
King Charles III and Queen Camilla are known to stay at Birkhall during the summer break, while other senior royals often join them throughout the season. The family also spends shorter holidays at the Sandringham Estate.
Amid renewed attention surrounding Harry and Meghan, both royal estates have announced special visitor experiences for members of the public.
A statement promoting Sandringham’s latest attraction read: “Discover the charm of the Sandringham Estate with the Royal Country Retreat – Signature Tour.”
Visitors will be able to explore historic rooms across the estate, including elegant guest bedrooms, the Billiards Room and the Long Library, which was famously used for Queen Elizabeth II’s first televised Christmas broadcast.
The estate added that tours will run on selected days in small groups, giving guests “a relaxed and intimate glimpse into royal life.”
Meanwhile, Balmoral Castle has unveiled a new centenary exhibition celebrating 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.
According to the announcement, the exhibition features a carefully selected collection of photographs highlighting memorable moments from the late Queen’s life and reign.
Set within the scenic gardens and grounds of Balmoral, the exhibition is expected to remain open daily throughout the 2026 season, with entry included in standard admission tickets.
Harry was last said to have been invited to Balmoral by his late grandmother in August 2022 for the royal family’s traditional summer gathering. Meghan Markle, however, is reportedly yet to visit the estate.
