Despite their strong public image, the couple appears to be struggling to grow their audience on X, formerly known as Twitter. During the final quarter of 2025, the Prince and Princess of Wales stayed just below the 3 million follower milestone, holding around 2.9 million followers on the platform.
Their slower growth on X contrasts sharply with their huge success on Instagram, where the couple has attracted more than 17 million followers. The difference highlights their stronger focus on Instagram as the main platform for sharing royal updates and connecting with the public.
Meanwhile, the royal family recently found itself in the spotlight after reports claimed King Charles removed Prince Andrew’s royal titles following renewed controversy surrounding his links to late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
William and Catherine have carried the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales since the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.
The couple’s social media presence has continued to attract attention alongside ongoing health concerns within the monarchy. Catherine revealed her cancer diagnosis shortly after Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III was also undergoing treatment. The King has continued carrying out royal duties while receiving care.
