The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to return to Britain in the coming weeks to mark the one-year countdown to the next Invictus Games. According to reports, arrangements are being made to ensure their safety during the visit.
The move has sparked speculation that the King is helping pave the way for Harry and Meghan to bring their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to the UK for the first time in four years.
While details of the security measures remain private, a government spokesperson reiterated the official position on protective arrangements, stating: “It is our long-standing policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security.”
Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 alongside Meghan and their son, Prince Archie. The couple later relocated to California, where they welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Since leaving royal life, Harry and Meghan have publicly spoken about their experiences within the monarchy, including allegations concerning treatment by members of the Royal Family. Despite ongoing tensions, reports of security support for their upcoming visit suggest efforts are being made to facilitate the family's return to the UK for important engagements.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Sussexes have publicly commented on the reported arrangements.
