Kate Middleton and Prince William’s growing closeness to Lady Louise Windsor is reportedly creating tension behind palace doors.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are said to view Prince Edward and Sophie’s daughter as someone who could take on a more prominent royal role in the future. Their interest in preparing Lady Louise for greater responsibilities, however, has allegedly unsettled Queen Camilla.
“Kate and William absolutely see Louise as someone they would like around them in a much bigger role once they take the throne,” a source told Heat World.
According to the insider, Camilla becomes “very territorial” when she feels William and Kate are moving too quickly or making plans for the monarchy without consulting her and King Charles.
The source also claimed that Kate’s increasingly close relationship with Lady Louise has added to those concerns. Camilla reportedly sees the bond as a sign that the Waleses are quietly developing their own vision for the Royal Family and defining who may have a place in it when William eventually becomes king.
