According to Heat World, Harry made the demand following the couple’s alleged private meeting with the King. Sources claimed he believes they must avoid further controversy if they want any chance of receiving another invitation from the Royal Family.
The insider said Harry has warned Meghan that they will both need to “swallow their pride” and follow the King’s lead for the time being.
His biggest concern is reportedly that details of the meeting could be leaked or that public demands could damage the progress they have made. Harry is said to be urging Meghan to remain quiet and avoid doing anything that could create fresh tension.
“It’s a huge adjustment for Meghan in particular because staying quiet and simply toeing the line really isn’t in her nature,” the source claimed. “But she has reluctantly accepted that this is what has to happen.”
The report added that Meghan understands how important the situation is to Harry. She also reportedly believes that improving relations with the Royal Family could benefit their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in the future.
“Harry’s biggest concern is that nothing derails the progress they’ve made,” the insider said. “He doesn’t want anything that could put a spanner in the works, so there can’t be any leaks or demands.”
Neither the Duke and Duchess of Sussex nor Buckingham Palace has publicly confirmed the claims.
