Prince Harry has received support from royal commentators after reports claimed Buckingham Palace withdrew an earlier offer to provide him with accommodation during his UK visit.
According to reports, the Duke of Sussex had initially been offered a room at the Palace, but the arrangement was later withdrawn, prompting fresh speculation about his relationship with the Royal Family.
Royal biographer Hugo Vickers questioned the decision during an interview with Page Six, arguing that space would have been found if there had been a genuine desire to host the King's younger son.
"If they wanted him to stay there, they would find him a room, even if he arrived in the middle of the night," Vickers said.
He also questioned why there would not be a single room available for Prince Harry for one night, suggesting the issue was less about logistics and more about internal palace decision-making.
Vickers pointed to royal courtiers as a possible factor, saying they often influence such arrangements. He added that if King Charles truly wanted to meet his son, a meeting could still be organized, but suggested the situation had become increasingly complicated and that those involved may be growing weary of the ongoing tensions.
Prince Harry stepped back from royal duties in 2020 alongside his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Prince Archie. After relocating to California, the couple publicly discussed their experiences within the Royal Family, including allegations of racism and other grievances shared in high-profile interviews.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex now live in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
