Prince Harry is said to be feeling “buoyed” and “really energised” after reportedly reuniting with King Charles alongside Meghan Markle and their children during a recent visit to Britain.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to have visited the King with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, marking the family’s first reported reunion with Charles in nearly four years.
Friends of Harry told the Daily Mail that he was “very happy” Meghan and the children were able to join him and spend time with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove.
When asked why the family had agreed to meet, one source simply said: “Blood is blood.”
The insider added: “Every journey of a thousand miles begins with one footstep,” suggesting the meeting could represent an early step towards repairing strained family relations.
Harry appeared in high spirits the following Saturday when he attended Scotty’s Summer Festival at Maxstoke Castle in Warwickshire.
Reports have also claimed that Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet stayed at the Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire during their visit. The estate is the ancestral home of Princess Diana’s family and includes the private island where she was laid to rest.
However, the reported reunion may have caused fresh tension within the Royal Family. A royal commentator has claimed that Prince William was left “furious” over King Charles’s decision to meet Harry and Meghan.
