The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly moved back to Britain with their children last week.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly returned to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Early reports suggest the family has chosen the Cotswolds as its base during an extended stay in Britain.
If Harry and Meghan decide to buy a home in the area, this could be a good time to do so. Property prices in the Cotswolds have fallen slightly since last year.
According to real estate company Rightmove, homes sold in the area over the past year were 2 percent cheaper than the previous year. Prices were also 2 percent below the 2023 peak of £457,314.
However, a property expert recently told the Express that Harry and Meghan are renting a home in the Cotswolds instead of buying one.
Saif Derzi, founder of Property Buyers Today, said renting would allow the family to experience life in Britain without making a long-term commitment.
“Given the amount of travelling Harry and Meghan do and the possibility that their plans could change, I think renting is a much more realistic option than immediately purchasing a multi-million-pound property,” Derzi said.
He added that a luxury rental could give the couple the privacy and security they need. It would also allow them to decide whether the area is right for their family before buying a home.
