Prince Harry reportedly remains frustrated with the Royal Family and the “men in grey suits” surrounding his father, King Charles.
Despite speculation about a possible reconciliation, the Duke of Sussex is said to be waiting for an apology from the institution rather than preparing to offer one himself.
A source told The Mail on Sunday that friends who recently caught up with Harry had expected him to show “contrition and humility.” Instead, they reportedly found that his feelings toward the Royal Family had changed very little.
“By the sounds of things, there will be no imminent mea culpa from Harry,” the source claimed, adding that he remains in the same mindset he displayed during his interview with Oprah Winfrey.
According to the insider, Harry’s friends were surprised to hear that he was still angry with certain members of the Royal Family and frustrated with the palace advisers around his father.
“He still expects an apology,” the source added.
Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 before moving to California with their son, Prince Archie. They later welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Since leaving Britain, the couple have spoken publicly about their experiences within the monarchy. During their 2021 interview with Oprah, they made several serious allegations, including claims that concerns had been raised about the possible color of Archie’s skin before his birth.
Although Harry has returned to the UK on several occasions, his reported demand for an apology suggests that tensions between him and the Royal Family remain unresolved.
