Prince William and Kate Middleton have marked the start of Air Ambulance Week by highlighting the lifesaving work of emergency medical charities across the UK.
The Prince and Princess of Wales shared a video from Air Ambulances UK on their social-media accounts Monday, helping draw attention to the people and organizations behind each emergency mission.
The cause has a personal connection to William, who worked as a full-time pilot with the East Anglian Air Ambulance from July 2015 until July 2017.
Sharing this year’s campaign message, Air Ambulances UK wrote: “This year’s message is simple but powerful: Every Mission Starts With You.”
The charity added: “Air ambulance charities across the UK provide lifesaving care to people when they need it most. But behind every mission is a network of supporters who help make that care possible.”
William and Kate regularly use their public roles to support charities and raise awareness of causes close to them.
