Princess Kate confidently carries herself during solo royal engagements, a
sharp contrast to Prince William, who at times exhibits signs of nervousness
when without his wife's company.
Throughout the past week, the Prince and Princess of Wales fulfilled their separate royal duties, offering a glimpse into their distinctive approaches to public appearances.
Prince William, the heir to the throne, traveled to New York to announce the
finalists for his 2023 Earthshot Prize. Meanwhile, Kate Middleton, the future
Queen, remained in the UK, attending various engagements, including a visit to
a Royal Navy air base in Somerset.
Body language expert Darren Stanton shared his observations regarding the
couple's demeanor during their respective trips. He noted, "While Kate
naturally exudes confidence during both solo and joint engagements, William
appears more self-assured when accompanied by his wife."
Stanton suggested that William's occasional lack of confidence might be
attributed to his habit of allowing his wife, the mother of their three
children, to "take the lead during their joint engagements, with the prince
content to proudly watch as she assumes control during interactions."
"When William ventures out alone, he adopts a more reserved approach and is less animated than when joined by Kate. His use of minimal gestures during his recent outing in New York mirrors the approach of the late Queen during her public appearances, reflecting his preference for a more understated yet steadfast presence," Stanton added.
