King Charles to Hold Telephone Discussion with Rishi Sunak Following Cancer Diagnosis

In the wake of King Charles III's cancer diagnosis, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the monarch is scheduled to conduct his weekly meeting with the Prime Minister over the phone.

The Palace's statement, released on Monday, disclosed that subsequent diagnostic tests have revealed the presence of a form of cancer in the 75-year-old King.

A spokesperson for the Prime Minister emphasized that they generally refrain from commenting on discussions between the Prime Minister and the King. However, they confirmed that in this specific instance, an agreement has been reached with the Palace to acknowledge the forthcoming telephone conversation.

On Tuesday, Prince Harry met with his cancer-stricken father, King Charles, for approximately 45 minutes at Clarence House in London. Subsequently, King Charles and Queen Camilla traveled to Sandringham.

It's reported that King Charles informed his youngest son of his cancer diagnosis during a private conversation prior to the public announcement earlier this week.

Meanwhile, Prince William, who had been out of the public eye for several weeks, returned to royal duties shortly after Prince Harry's meeting with King Charles. The Prince of Wales presided over an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle, marking his first official engagement since the announcement of King Charles's cancer diagnosis and Princess Kate's abdominal surgery.
