Eugenie, wedded to Jack Brooksbank with whom she shares two children, opted for an intimate celebration on Saturday, 23rd March, as reported by The Sun.
In 2022, Eugenie and her family relocated to a luxurious residence in Comporta, Portugal's Algarve region, departing from her former royal abode at Kensington Palace.
Royal biographer Angela Levin suggested that this relocation reflects Eugenie's desire to distance herself from her father's tarnished reputation, particularly following his association with the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and subsequent loss of military titles and royal patronages due to allegations of sexual misconduct.
Levin commented, "It seems unlikely that Eugenie would return to London for her birthday amidst the current circumstances. She may prefer celebrating under the sun with her husband and children."
Addressing concerns over her mother's well-being, Levin added, "Despite speculations, Eugenie has no plans to return to the UK. Her move to Portugal is driven by a combination of factors, potentially including a wish to distance herself from the ongoing controversies surrounding her father."
Highlighting the positive aspects of the move, Levin noted, "Jack Brooksbank's lucrative job opportunities in Portugal have contributed to Eugenie's contentment and happiness in her new environment."
