The late Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away at the age of 96, seemed to have a premonition about her 96th birthday being her last.
In his book "Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait," royal expert Gyles Brandreth revealed that the late monarch took a poignant journey down memory lane on the eve of her 96th birthday.
Celebrating her final birthday on April 21, 2022, at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk, specifically at Wood Hill Farm, Queen Elizabeth embraced the opportunity to reminisce.
Brandreth noted that towards the end of her life, the Queen didn't shy away from reflecting on the past. She spent time watching reels of old home movies, capturing moments shared with her parents over the years.
Additionally, Queen Elizabeth recorded commentary for the TV documentary "Elizabeth: The Unseen Queen," scheduled for release on her Silver Jubilee in June. This documentary featured never-before-seen home movies of the royal family.
Brandreth revealed that the Queen recorded this commentary on May 19, 2022, just a month after her 96th birthday. He expressed his belief that Queen Elizabeth had an inkling that this milestone birthday "may be her last."
