Charles Spencer revealed the "immensely sad" announcement of his split from his wife of 13 years, Karen Spencer.
Speaking to The Mail on Sunday on June 8, Spencer expressed his sorrow, stating, "It is immensely sad. I just want to devote myself to all my children, and to my grandchildren, and I wish Karen every happiness in the future."
This news of their divorce was disclosed to the public after the couple reportedly informed the staff at Althorp estate, where Princess Diana is laid to rest, back in April.
The former couple, parents to a 12-year-old daughter named Charlotte Diana, now navigate separate paths, while still honoring the memory of Princess Diana through their daughter's name.
In addition to Charlotte, Spencer has four children from his previous marriage to Victoria Lockwood, and two children with his second wife, Caroline Freud. Karen, on the other hand, is also a mother to two daughters from her previous marriage to Hollywood producer Mark Gordon.
