Monarch Opens Up About Recovery and Fitness Regimen During Palace Event
King Charles III offered rare details about his cancer recovery during a lively celebration at Buckingham Palace, where he appeared in good spirits, engaging with medallists from the Paris Olympics.
The King, who publicly announced his cancer diagnosis in February, looked healthy and upbeat despite a taxing 10-day tour of Australia and Samoa. Attendees noted the monarch’s energy, as he cracked jokes and congratulated the athletes.
In a candid moment with the women’s athletic team, Charles disclosed his fitness regime, revealing that he exercises twice a day. The King shared with sprinter Desiree Henry that his routine includes squats and pull-ups, a regimen influenced by Royal Navy exercises he learned during his time in the Armed Forces, similar to his father, Prince Philip.
The update comes shortly after Queen Camilla gave a brief but reassuring comment on the King’s health in her ITV documentary. Camilla stated that Charles “is doing really well,” adding with a smile, “The problem is trying to stop him.”
