Duchess of York Shares Cheerful Video Message After Return from Australia
Sarah Ferguson has spoken out with a new video message following her recent trip to Australia, amid rising tensions between her ex-husband Prince Andrew and King Charles over the Royal Lodge.
The Duchess of York, who enjoyed a week of book promotions in Perth and Sydney, took to Instagram on Saturday to express her gratitude and share updates, seemingly unbothered by the ongoing royal drama.
In her message, Ferguson wrote: “What a wonderful week of books in Perth and Sydney, Australia, where I was especially proud to announce my new cookbook.” She highlighted her latest projects, including Fabulous Food Art in collaboration with @jacobs_food_diaries and the children’s book Flora and Fern: Wonder in the Woods, illustrated by @denisehughesdesign. “Two whimsical journeys I have fondly been a part of and am excited to share with you,” she added.
Ferguson thanked her supporters: “Thank you to everyone who attended the book signings for making me feel so welcome and for making my time in your beautiful country so special.”
Notably, the Duchess made no mention of the ongoing feud between Prince Andrew and King Charles. Recent reports indicate that Prince Andrew, who previously received financial support from his brother, has secured independent funding to remain at the Royal Lodge. Sir Michael Stevens, the Keeper of the Privy Purse, confirmed that the funds come from legitimate sources.
The update follows news that King Charles has ended financial assistance for Andrew and is pressuring him to vacate the Royal Lodge.
