On Saturday, the Duchess of Sussex hosted a heartfelt dinner in Venice Beach, California, through The Archewell Foundation, marking the start of the festive season. The event, part of the Southern California Welcome Project, brought together Afghan women supported by Mina’s List, an organisation empowering women in human rights.

The gathering, held at Our Place, a cookware company founded by Shiza Shahid, saw participants gifted new cookware for the holidays while sharing stories of resilience and hope.

Following the event, the Sussexes’ office released official photos and a touching statement:

“In celebration of Thanksgiving, Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex and The Archewell Foundation hosted a heartfelt dinner for the Southern California Welcome Project,” it read.
