Meghan Markle's Sister Samantha Denies Links to Hate Group Targeting Duchess

Samantha Markle Responds to Allegations in New Court Filings

Samantha Markle has publicly denied involvement in any "troll" group targeting her half-sister, Meghan Markle, calling the accusations part of a "disparaging campaign" against her.

In recent court filings, Samantha insisted she has no ties to any "hate group" aimed at Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan. The legal battle stems from Samantha’s defamation lawsuit against Meghan over statements made during the Duchess's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey and in the Netflix docuseries aired in 2022.

Samantha criticized Meghan’s portrayal of her family, accusing the former Suits actress of spreading "false and malicious lies," including the narrative of a "rags-to-royalty" upbringing and claims that Meghan "grew up as an only child."

Although the lawsuit was dismissed in March by a U.S. court, Samantha is currently appealing the decision in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Netflix docuseries alleged that Samantha was "part of the group putting out disinformation" about Meghan. The series featured a clip of the Duchess expressing fear, stating, "You are making people want to kill me."

In her legal response, Samantha’s filing asserted: "There can be no doubt that Meghan Markle attacked her sister Samantha Markle verbally in her documentary." The document continued to clarify that Samantha "was never part of any disinformation group, never engaged in trolling Meghan, had no association with hate groups, never used racial slurs online, and never profited from hate-driven content against Meghan."

Samantha’s statements aim to clear her name as she fights to overturn the dismissed defamation case and distance herself from the damaging accusations.
