Duke of Sussex ‘Thrilled’ Over Selection of World-Class Talent for 2025 Event
Prince Harry has curated a spectacular lineup of performers for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 ceremonies, showcasing his personal involvement in the event’s planning.
The Duke of Sussex announced Jelly Roll as the headliner for the Games’ closing ceremony on February 16, 2025, in a playful skit where the musician humorously pretends to give Harry his first tattoo.
Robyn McVicker, Chief Operating Officer of the Invictus Games, shared Harry’s excitement over the selection process. “The Duke had his input in the matter, and he was thrilled to see so many incredible musicians wanting to connect with the Invictus movement,” McVicker told People Magazine.
Jelly Roll’s performance will be complemented by appearances from legendary Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies and dynamic Americana duo The War and Treaty.
The opening ceremony, set for February 8, 2025, will feature performances by acclaimed artists Noah Kahan, Nelly Furtado, and Roxane Bruneau, ensuring the event kicks off with high energy and star power.
“We’ve been keeping this under wraps for a while, and we’re thrilled to see Jelly Roll’s announcement coincide with his major tour hitting Canada,” McVicker added.
Harry’s hands-on approach to organising the ceremonies underscores his commitment to the Invictus Games, which he founded in 2014 to support and inspire wounded veterans. The event continues to grow as a global movement, blending world-class entertainment with its mission of resilience and empowerment.
