Wears Homemade 'Papa' Bracelet as a Symbol of His Love for His Children
During his four-day visit to South Africa, Prince William shared a touching message for his children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, expressing his love through a special accessory. Sporting a homemade friendship bracelet labeled 'Papa'—the affectionate name his children call him—William showed his children were close to his heart even while miles away.
The bracelet, inspired by Princess Charlotte’s love for arts and crafts, featured William’s name in black and white with blue accents, peeking from beneath his eco-friendly shirt and jacket as he met with young environmentalists at the Earthshot Prize Climate Leaders Youth Programme in Cape Town. "You're going to change the world," he encouraged the youth, embodying the spirit of the event.
Kensington Palace also released a video of William revealing his “favourite African animal” in a light-hearted exchange with Australian conservationist Robert Irwin. He shared, “My children ask me this regularly. I think I’m going to have to say the cheetah. Fantastic animal.”
In addition to environmental engagements, William participated in a rugby coaching session with local students, sharing warm and light-hearted moments. As he hiked up Signal Hill, he joked with the press, “I’ll try not to wipe myself out in front of everybody,” showcasing his relaxed and approachable side during the trip.
