Eugenie Attends Poppy Ball as Her Father Secures Continued Stay at Royal Lodge
Princess Eugenie made her first public appearance following good news for her father, Prince Andrew, regarding his ongoing dispute over the Royal Lodge.
The younger daughter of Prince Andrew attended the Remembrance Poppy Ball as a patron on Friday, marking an important event in the royal calendar.
“Last night, ahead of Remembrance Day, I was honoured to join The Poppy Ball dinner, where over £36,000 was raised for the Royal British Legion,” Eugenie shared on social media. “Since its inception in 2010, it has raised over £1.5 million for the RBL. Fantastic work, and I’m so proud to be a patron.” She also shared photos from the evening, featuring special guests.
King Charles, who is also a patron of the Royal British Legion, supports the charity’s mission to provide lifelong assistance to the Armed Forces community.
The engagement comes as news emerged that Prince Andrew will continue residing at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. Despite financial tensions with King Charles, Andrew has reportedly secured £3 million annually, allowing him to remain in the 30-room estate.
Earlier, the King had cut off Andrew’s financial support, including funding for security, citing frustration over his brother’s behaviour. However, a source previously noted, “If Andrew can pay for his own upkeep through legitimate means, then it is not an issue.”
