Royal family highlights Queen’s decade-long advocacy ahead of new Sussex show.
Queen Camilla, known for her tireless efforts supporting victims of rape and sexual assault, has released an emotional statement reaffirming her commitment to tackling gender-based violence.
The royal family’s social media account shared a heartfelt post recognising the Queen’s dedication to this cause, marking over a decade of her advocacy. The post included a powerful message: “People worldwide unite to raise awareness about gender-based violence.”
In collaboration with the United Nations, the Palace highlighted sobering statistics: “Every 10 minutes, a woman is killed by an intimate partner or family member.” It added, “Violence against women and girls must end. We all have a role to play in preventing it.”
Queen Camilla has undertaken numerous visits to meet survivors, learn more about the challenges they face, and honour the organisations working tirelessly in this area.
This poignant message precedes the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new project, keeping the focus on Camilla’s steadfast dedication to addressing critical social issues.
