Sarah Ferguson Speaks Out Amid Prince Andrew’s Feud with King Charles Over Royal Lodge

Duchess of York Emphasises Family Values as Tensions Escalate Between the Brothers

Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, has shared her perspective as the feud between King Charles and Prince Andrew intensifies over the Royal Lodge and its funding.

Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, married Prince Andrew in 1986, and the couple welcomed their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, before separating in 1992. Despite their separation, the pair continue to live together at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.

In the latest turn of events, King Charles has reportedly severed financial support to his younger brother, ending the Duke of York’s £1 million annual allowance after Andrew refused to vacate the Royal Lodge, as noted by royal author Robert Hardman.

Amid the escalating tensions, Fergie shared her thoughts on family dynamics in an interview with Bella magazine, saying, “The three C’s: communicate, compromise, compassion. Family is the most important thing.” Her comments appear to advocate for reconciliation and understanding despite the ongoing rift.

Despite their separation more than three decades ago, Sarah and Andrew have maintained a close relationship, often spending holidays like Christmas together. Last year, fans speculated about a potential reconciliation between the two after they were frequently seen together.

Addressing the rumours, Fergie clarified, “I get asked that all the time. We are very happy as we are now, thank you!”

Ferguson’s emphasis on family values comes as the royal dispute over the Royal Lodge and its future remains unresolved, highlighting her desire to maintain unity and tradition within the royal family.
