Palace Denies Claims of King Charles Funding Prince Andrew Amid Royal Lodge Dispute

Insiders Dismiss "Double Bluff" Allegations in Royal Drama

Prince Andrew’s clash with King Charles over the Royal Lodge has taken another turn, with new claims suggesting the King might be secretly funding his brother despite their ongoing rift.

The Daily Mail’s Charlotte Griffiths reported allegations of a “double bluff,” hinting that Charles could be footing Andrew’s bills even as he pressures him to vacate the 30-room mansion. Buckingham Palace, however, has declined to comment officially on the claims.

Insiders have strongly refuted the speculation, branding it as mere “dinner party gossip.” Sources clarified that King Charles had ceased Andrew’s personal allowance and security payments, a financial cut amounting to approximately $5 million, as revealed by royal biographer Robert Hardman.

The King is reportedly urging Andrew to downsize to Frogmore Cottage, previously occupied by Harry and Meghan Markle. Despite this, Andrew has provided evidence of sufficient "legitimate" funds to maintain his current residence, insisting on upholding his 75-year lease to secure the property for their daughters.

While the Palace continues to remain tight-lipped, the unfolding drama highlights the strained relationship between the brothers and the challenges of navigating royal finances under public scrutiny.
