Royal Couple Likely to Keep an Eye on ‘The Lost Prince,’ Expert Claims
Prince William and Princess Catherine, reportedly estranged from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, may still take an interest in the Sussexes’ new documentary despite their strained relationship.
The German documentary, The Lost Prince, by award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald, explores Harry and Meghan’s life in California and their search for relevance since stepping down as senior royals in January 2020.
Royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggested that the Prince and Princess of Wales would likely stay informed about the documentary’s content. "I think there's a strong chance they would probably have someone watch it on their behalf, just so they can flag up anything that needs addressing," he told The Mirror.
While the couple is said to be hurt by Harry and Meghan’s repeated public criticisms, Larcombe noted that William tends to handle such situations with restraint. "William is a bit better than Harry at ignoring what's said about him, but he still does take interest," he explained.
The expert refrained from predicting the documentary’s impact on the royal family’s dynamics, adding, "It’s hard to say if the documentary will affect Harry's relationship with the royals because there are signs that things might be thawing."
While direct communication between the two couples remains unlikely, their continued awareness of each other’s public moves underscores the complexity of their ongoing relationship.
