Duke warned to prepare for possible legal challenges as Trump’s stance looms
Prince Harry has been urged to consider a backup plan as speculation intensifies over potential legal action against him under the newly inaugurated Donald Trump administration.
Concerns over the Duke of Sussex’s U.S. visa status have resurfaced, with mounting pressure from the Heritage Foundation to disclose whether Harry received any special exemptions. The controversy stems from his admission in Spare about past drug use, which could pose a challenge under U.S. immigration law.
Royal expert Bronte Coy told The Sun: “The new U.S. President has made no secret about his position on it. He’s been asked about it so many times over the years.” While she acknowledged Trump has other pressing priorities, she noted that the issue is unlikely to disappear, given the ongoing legal scrutiny.
Coy also pointed out that the Heritage Foundation has actively lobbied for Trump to intervene, pushing for transparency in Harry’s immigration records. “Officials are saying this is about accountability—no one is above the law, which is concerning if they maintain that level of profile on the case,” she added.
This latest development comes as Harry prepares for his much-anticipated appearance at the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. However, with the visa dispute gaining traction, the Duke may face increasing legal challenges that could impact his future in the U.S. with Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet.
