Meghan Markle reportedly snubbed by Reese Witherspoon over loyalty to the future Queen
Meghan Markle has reportedly suffered a notable setback as Hollywood actress Reese Witherspoon is said to have declined an invitation to appear on her podcast, Archetypes, due to her admiration for Catherine, Princess of Wales.
According to royal commentator Kinsey Schofield, the Duchess of Sussex had hoped to feature Witherspoon before her Spotify deal collapsed. Speaking on the Andrew Gold & Kinsey Schofield YouTube channel, the expert shared, “I heard rumours that Meghan was trying to get Reese Witherspoon on Archetypes. Reese Witherspoon politely declined.”
Schofield added that the decision may have stemmed from Witherspoon’s fondness for Catherine, stating, “She loves the Princess of Wales, loves Catherine, and didn’t want to do anything to jeopardise any sort of social clout she has with the future Queen.”
In a fresh effort to revitalise her media presence, Meghan is now reportedly reaching out to Witherspoon’s close friend Jennifer Aniston for her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. An insider quoted by US Express claimed, “Meghan is hoping Jen will be there for her – as soon as possible – as a guest. Meghan knows she needs a major A-list name to bounce back fast after such a mixed start.”
As of now, neither Meghan nor Aniston has confirmed the reports. Still, the alleged snub is being seen as another sign of Catherine’s growing influence—even beyond royal circles.
