Expert claims reconciliation remains unlikely amid mounting tensions and legal drama
King Charles III continues to maintain a noticeable distance from Prince Harry, with their fractured relationship showing no signs of healing during the Duke of Sussex’s ongoing legal battle in the United Kingdom.
The Duke’s dispute over security arrangements has reportedly added further strain to an already tense dynamic between father and son. A royal expert has described the relationship as “deeply strained and beyond distant.”
Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that the King’s silence has served as a powerful message. “King Charles has been intentionally avoiding Harry to prevent not only legal entanglement but further hurt and drama,” she said.
She added that advisers around the King are also playing a role in keeping Harry at a distance: “This is being driven also by those who are hired to protect King Charles from his courtiers, who unanimously see Harry as despicable.”
Fordwich believes the likelihood of reconciliation is slim in the near future. She also addressed Harry’s strained relationship with Prince William, noting: “It’s just as bad. William reportedly has not responded to Harry’s calls or messages.”
The expert’s remarks follow reports from Harry’s friends that the King has been unavailable during the Duke’s last three visits to Britain — including this month, despite Harry’s court appearance being scheduled well in advance of Charles’s state visit to Italy.
