Duchess reportedly preparing to send a message of reconciliation to William and Catherine
Meghan Markle is reportedly preparing to reach out to Prince William and Catherine in an effort to mend fractured ties with the royal family.
According to new reports, Meghan hopes to "trigger a truce" and position herself as a "saviour," a move that could bolster her public image.
Tensions between the Sussexes and the royal family have been no secret since Harry and Meghan stepped back from their senior roles. Their candid remarks in Harry’s memoir Spare and their Netflix series only deepened the divide with senior royals.
Now, it is believed the couple, who are based in Montecito, are seeking to repair relations with King Charles, William, and particularly Catherine.
As reported by The New York Times, “Meghan’s desperate to come across as the bigger person and end this feud between them — appearing like some sort of royal saviour could only do her image good.”
An insider added that Meghan and Harry are hopeful that Catherine’s return to royal duties might ease tensions and help pave the way for reconciliation with William and the King.
Meanwhile, it is said that Catherine, the future Queen, is also eager to see William and Harry rebuild their bond following her cancer diagnosis. However, William reportedly remains reluctant, believing that trust with the Sussexes has been too badly damaged to repair.
