Duchess’s podcast highlights close friendships but omits Princess Kate
Meghan Markle’s latest podcast appearance is stirring new royal debate after a comment some see as a subtle dig at her sister-in-law, Catherine.
In the newest episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, the Duchess of Sussex speaks with her friend and entrepreneur Kadi Lee about the challenges of building a brand from scratch. During their conversation, Meghan shared that her children adore Kadi, affectionately calling her "Auntie Katie."
"I mean, our kids love Auntie Kadi," Meghan said. "It's our favourite when they run out to the car saying Kadi."
Meghan also referred to tennis champion Serena Williams as "auntie," highlighting the close-knit friendships she and Harry have nurtured in Montecito.
However, there was no mention of the children's biological aunt, Catherine. The Princess of Wales met Archie shortly after his birth in 2019, though it remains uncertain whether she has ever met Lilibet, born in California in 2021.
