Future Queen chooses professional photographer for Prince Louis' birthday portrait
Prince William and Princess Catherine recently celebrated the seventh birthday of their youngest son, Prince Louis, with the release of a heartwarming new portrait.
The photo, shared on social media, captured Louis beaming brightly, showing off his two missing front teeth while surrounded by nature. However, this year brought a notable change to a cherished family tradition.
Usually known for personally photographing her children on special occasions, Princess Catherine chose to step back and enlisted a professional photographer for Louis' birthday portrait.
Royal expert Emily Nash revealed on A Right Royal Podcast that Catherine opted for Josh Shinner, a photographer previously known for capturing the Wales family's 2023 Christmas card.
While praising Catherine’s natural ability behind the camera, Nash explained, "She often really gets the best out of the kids because they're relaxed with her. But occasionally, she has gone for people outside the family, as we know in recent years."
This thoughtful decision highlights Catherine's evolving approach to balancing family life and royal traditions as she prepares for her future role as Queen.
