Tom Bower claims Sussexes face personal crisis as new book prepares to reveal deeper tensions
Prince Harry’s hopes of mending ties with Prince William and Catherine appear futile, according to royal biographer Tom Bower, who insists the rift between the brothers—and their wives—is now beyond repair.
Bower, who is preparing a follow-up to his explosive 2022 bestseller Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, claims the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are grappling with mounting strain not only with the Royal Family, but within their own relationship.
“They are in the middle of a personal crisis,” Bower told The Mirror, suggesting Harry and Meghan Markle are heading in sharply different directions. While Harry reportedly longs for reconciliation with his father King Charles and brother William, Meghan is said to be focused on building a powerful brand and chasing billionaire status.
“Meghan wants the glamour and power that come with being a celebrity mogul, but Harry’s never lived in that world,” Bower explained. “He simply does not get where she’s coming from.”
As for any hopes of royal reconciliation, Bower is blunt: “The anger from William and Kate runs deep. Reconciliation is a lost cause.”
The royal author’s forthcoming book is expected to further expose the evolving tensions within the Sussex household and their ongoing fallout with the monarchy—fueling the world’s continued fascination with their controversial royal exit.
