Actress eyes Montecito move after feeling unsafe and isolated in Los Angeles
Jennifer Aniston is reportedly preparing to leave her longtime Bel-Air residence after a frightening stalking incident left her deeply unsettled and eager for a fresh start outside Hollywood.
According to RadarOnline.com, the Friends star is considering relocating to Montecito, California—a peaceful coastal town that’s already home to close friends like Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Rob Lowe, and Orlando Bloom. The Emmy-winning actress owns a nearly completed home in the area, making the move a real possibility.
“Her house in Montecito is almost finished, and she’s got a great support network there,” a source shared. “There’s really nothing stopping her.”
Though Aniston remains fond of her Bel-Air estate, she’s reportedly lived alone for years, and the recent break-in pushed her past her limit. The Morning Show actress was home when a 48-year-old stalker, Jimmy Wayne Carwyle, plowed through her security gates. Her team detained him at gunpoint until police arrived. He was later booked on felony vandalism charges and held without bond.
“This incident tipped her over the edge,” an insider said. “She now feels L.A. is dangerous, depressing, and far too isolating.”
Aniston is also open to purchasing a home in upstate New York, where Michelle Williams owns a farmhouse, but she is expected to keep Los Angeles as a professional base for now.
“No one in her circle blames her,” a confidante added. “She just wants to feel safe again—and she’s ready for a change.”
