Duchess says Harry gave her the life she dreamed of and “slayed the dragon to save the princess”
Meghan Markle grew emotional as she opened up about her deep admiration for Prince Harry during her appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on April 28, describing him as the man who transformed her life and fiercely protects their family.
Dismissing ongoing rumours about their relationship, the Duchess of Sussex declared, “H, that man loves me so much. Look what we've built—we have a beautiful life, we have two healthy, beautiful children.”
She praised Harry’s constant dedication to their wellbeing, saying, “He’s always going to do whatever he can to make sure our family is safe and protected—and we still make time for date nights.”
Getting candid about their relationship dynamic, Meghan added: “It’s not something to be taken for granted when you have a partner, a spouse, who is just so behind you.”
In one of the interview’s most touching moments, Meghan made a playful yet heartfelt comparison: “I always think about it like the end of Super Mario Bros. When you get to the final, final level and they go, ‘Slay the dragon, save the princess.’ I’m like, that’s my husband.”
Her remarks come five years after she and Harry stepped back as senior royals and moved to the U.S., building a private life centred around family and shared purpose.
