BBC Interview Blaming King Charles Deepens Rift, Leaves Royals with 'No Incentive' to Reconnect
Prince Harry has reportedly angered senior members of the Royal Family following a fresh round of public criticism in his latest BBC interview—despite earlier private appeals urging him to stop.
The Duke of Sussex appeared in a 30-minute televised segment on Friday, during which he implied King Charles was responsible for the outcome of his failed security appeal. Though he expressed a desire for reconciliation, royal insiders say his actions have only widened the divide.
According to reports, both King Charles and Prince William now see "no incentive" to engage with Harry, citing what sources describe as a “major trust issue.”
“There is no incentive to do so when he is so free to openly criticise and only ever present one view—being his,” an insider told The Mirror.
It’s also been reported that Princess Anne was among the senior royals who previously urged Harry to halt his public attacks if he hoped to rebuild ties with his father and brother. “They must stop if he ever wanted to regain trust and a relationship with the King and Prince of Wales,” the source added.
The interview has intensified already fragile relations between the Duke and his royal relatives, raising new doubts over the possibility of future reconciliation.
