Duke of Sussex continues Princess Diana’s legacy with mission close to Prince William’s heart
Prince Harry is taking a major step to continue his late mother Princess Diana’s legacy as he prepares to headline a significant engagement in Las Vegas — a cause that also resonates closely with his estranged brother, Prince William.
The Duke of Sussex will appear on May 6 at a special panel hosted by the Diana Award, the only charity that bears the name of the People’s Princess. The event will launch the organisation’s new Pledge to Invest initiative, designed to empower and support young changemakers.
Harry will participate in a panel discussion alongside Dr. Tessy Ojo, CEO of the Diana Award, as part of the ServiceNow Knowledge 2025 conference. Joining them will be ServiceNow executive Paul Fipps and two recipients of the Diana Legacy Award — Sikander "Sonny" Khan and Christina Williams.
The panel will focus on the theme of youth leadership, exploring how employers can build effective, inclusive pathways for the next generation to succeed in the workplace.
In a statement, Dr. Ojo explained the vision behind the new initiative:
“Companies that invest in youth leadership today are cultivating the workforce, innovators, and consumers of tomorrow.”
The Pledge to Invest campaign encourages forward-thinking businesses to make measurable, high-impact commitments to youth development — aligning with both Diana’s lifelong passion for young people and Prince Harry’s continued advocacy.
While tensions remain between Harry and William, the Diana Award has long been a cause close to both brothers, symbolising their shared respect for their mother’s legacy. Harry’s appearance marks a rare public step in that direction — and a continued commitment to championing the values she held dear.
