Second memoir said to focus on Princess of Wales as ties with royals reach breaking point
Prince Harry is reportedly preparing to release a follow-up to his memoir Spare, with royal insiders warning it could include damaging revelations about Catherine, Princess of Wales—deepening the already fractured ties between the Sussexes and the rest of the royal family.
Once seen as a trusted ally, Catherine had previously shared a warm relationship with Harry, whom he once called “the sister he never had but always wanted.” But sources now suggest that bond has deteriorated beyond repair, with the Duke of Sussex allegedly ready to “hold nothing back.”
According to Closer magazine, Harry feels betrayed and “gutted” after losing his latest legal bid over UK security. The blow reportedly reignited his desire to tell more of his story, with a source revealing he has “enough material for a follow-up to Spare” and is preparing to use it.
The next book is expected to be “even more explosive than the first,” with insiders warning it could leave the monarchy in “permanent exile” from Harry and Meghan, as the revelations may “blow them apart.”
Despite previous efforts by Catherine to mediate between the feuding brothers—especially following her cancer diagnosis—reports suggest that William remains unforgiving, and Harry no longer feels loyal to his sister-in-law.
In his BBC interview, Harry claimed he has forgiven the royal family but cannot forgive the decision to revoke his security. Still, insiders say any remaining goodwill is now gone. As one source put it, “The relationship has gone beyond repair… it’s now just a game to see who can one-up the other.”
