Close friend of William and Catherine joins sacred church event honouring King Charles III
Queen Camilla reunited with a longstanding friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales during a special event marking the unveiling of the Foundation Stone for the new King Charles III Sacristy at a historic church.
Among the invited guests was Thomas van Straubenzee, godfather to one of the royal couple’s children and a trusted confidant of the family. A partner and Global Head of Private Office at a prominent international real estate consultancy, van Straubenzee shares deep personal ties with the royals.
His enduring friendship with Prince William dates back to their days at Ludgrove School in Berkshire. In recognition of this bond, he was named godfather to their daughter, now aged ten. The couple are parents to three children.
