Princess Anne Resumes Duties with Hospital and Coastal Visits After Liverpool Appearance
The office of King Charles has confirmed Princess Anne’s next official duties as she continues her role as one of the most dedicated members of the royal family.
According to the announcement, the Princess Royal—who serves as patron of the Royal College of Midwives—will visit the Maternity Unit at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital in Colney Lane, Norwich.
Later the same day, she is also scheduled to visit Gorleston Station at South Pier in Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, in her capacity as royal patron of the National Coastwatch Institution.
These new engagements come shortly after her appearance in Liverpool, where she offered support following a tragic incident during Liverpool FC’s Premier League title parade on 26 May.
Already due in the city to mark the visit of the Cunard ship Queen Anne, Princess Anne made an unscheduled stop at Royal Liverpool University Hospital. There, she met with frontline workers and emergency responders, personally thanking them for their bravery and professionalism after 47 people were injured in the crowd incident.
Buckingham Palace noted that Anne expressed her gratitude to “nurses, consultants and paramedics, as well as representatives from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the football club,” for their efforts during the crisis.
Often recognised as the hardest-working member of the royal family, the Princess Royal continues to lead by example as she steps back into the spotlight to carry out her duties.
