Duchess shares heartfelt hopes for Princess Lilibet ahead of her fourth birthday
Meghan Markle has shared her dream of one day going into business with her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Speaking in the final bonus episode of her podcast Confessions of a Female Founder, the Duchess of Sussex reflected on the possibility during a conversation with Tina Knowles, mother of Beyoncé.
“I wonder if one day I’ll be in business with Lili and we’ll be building something,” Meghan said, to which Knowles replied warmly, “Yeah, that’s the best.”
The episode, released just before Lilibet’s fourth birthday, centred on motherhood, ambition, and working with family. Knowles, who co-founded the haircare line Cécred with her daughter, gave a realistic take on the challenges of business partnerships within a family.
“There are difficulties,” she said. “If my kids are mad at me, I can’t take it. I’ll cave. If we have a disagreement, it’s her business, so she gets the win.”
Meghan seems already to be introducing Lilibet to her entrepreneurial world. She recently shared a video of the two wearing beekeeping suits as they harvested honey together, writing, “Harvesting with my little honey. (Like mother, like daughter; she’s even wearing my gloves).”
The Duchess also shares a son, Archie, who turned six on 6 May.
