Sophie stuns in bridal-inspired look as royals gather for Ladies Day
The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh marked their 26th wedding anniversary in style at Royal Ascot on Thursday, joining other senior royals for the third day of the prestigious racing event.
Prince Edward and Sophie arrived as part of the official royal carriage procession at the Berkshire racecourse, with King Charles III and Queen Camilla leading the way.
In a touching tribute to her 1999 wedding, Sophie wore a white tea dress adorned with deep green floral detailing, paired with a dramatic hat featuring a spray of flowers and a white veil. The elegant look drew comparisons to her bridal ensemble, stealing the spotlight on what is traditionally Ladies Day at Ascot.
The Duchess has attended all three days of this year's racing festival, turning heads with a series of refined outfits that have highlighted her signature style.
Alongside Sophie and Edward, several other royals were present, including Queen Camilla, Princess Beatrice, and Zara Tindall, all of whom made notable fashion appearances during the day’s events.
This latest royal outing followed Wednesday’s moment of confusion, when it was mistakenly announced that the Princess of Wales would attend. Kensington Palace later confirmed that she would not be present, prompting a last-minute revision to the carriage arrangements.
