Young couple’s move for 'reputation management' adds to tension with David and Victoria Beckham
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly deepened the ongoing tensions between themselves and the Beckhams, after Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz enlisted legal help through the Sussexes’ recommendation.
Once close friends, Harry and David Beckham drifted apart after Meghan allegedly accused Victoria Beckham of leaking private information to the press, leading to a major fallout between the two couples.
Now, fresh reports suggest that Brooklyn and Nicola recently met the Sussexes at a Montecito dinner party hosted by a mutual friend. That meeting appears to have sparked an unexpected bond — one strong enough that Brooklyn and Nicola have since hired British solicitor Jenny Afia, a long-time legal adviser to Meghan and Harry, to manage their public image.
According to The Mail on Sunday, the decision has “amused” the Beckhams, who reportedly find the situation “ironic” given the history. Sources say Nicola and Brooklyn, both frustrated by persistent media stories, decided to take legal steps to regain control over their public narrative.
“They've realised they have a lot in common with the Sussexes,” one insider noted, referring to the couple’s discontent with family interference and public scrutiny. “Nicola likes to control everything — this is a bold move to do just that.”
The revelation comes amid claims that Victoria Beckham personally appealed to Meghan not to interfere in family matters — a request that now appears to have been ignored.
