Duke of Sussex struggles to match Meghan’s thriving ventures while focusing on charity
Harry is reportedly grappling with uncertainty over his next move, as Meghan Markle continues to build momentum with a series of business wins.
The Duke of Sussex has been increasingly sidelined while the Duchess “ruthlessly” pursues one project after another. Meghan launched the year with a return to Instagram, soon followed by a string of ventures.
In just six months, she has unveiled a Netflix series, a podcast in collaboration with Lemonada Media, and her highly anticipated lifestyle brand, As Ever. In contrast, Harry has kept a lower profile, emerging publicly mainly for his work with the Invictus Games in February.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams remarked that Harry is “increasingly finding himself as the spare in a relationship with Meghan which undoubtedly involves mutual affection, but where their priorities differ widely.”
Speaking to MailOnline, Fitzwilliams noted that the King’s younger son lacks the same “ruthless” business drive that has defined Meghan’s recent trajectory.
While Harry is said to be planning an undisclosed commercial venture in the coming months, his primary focus remains on charity.
“Invictus means a lot to him. It was a joy to see him at the WellChild Awards last year. He genuinely enjoyed spending time with the children — it seemed as though the ‘old Harry’ was temporarily back,” Fitzwilliams said.
“However, though often emotional, he lacks Meghan’s ruthlessness, which was so apparent in the Oprah interview,” the expert added.
