Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have opened up about the powerful values instilled in them by their mother, Sarah Ferguson, crediting the Duchess of York with shaping their bond and approach to life.
The sisters—just 19 months apart and famously inseparable—appeared on Lessons From Our Mothers, a podcast hosted by Cressida Bonas, where they reflected on the deep impact of their mother’s wisdom.
“For me, it’s the fire inside—the strength inside of you,” Eugenie shared. “And how to bring that out, and to pull it in when you most need it.”
Known for maintaining a united front—from royal events like Trooping the Colour to joint charity efforts—the trio’s closeness stems from Sarah’s consistent message of compassion and teamwork.
The Princesses also shared a light-hearted memory of childhood rivalry, recalling a disagreement over a pair of Converse shoes. Beatrice laughed, “Mum just jumped into that fight and was like, ‘Come on, you can do it!’”
