Expert warns Palace may face fresh revelations as Sussexes seek new income streams
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could be preparing to take a controversial step following the reported end of their lucrative Netflix deal in September—a move that may once again place the Royal Family in the firing line.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, the couple’s next venture could stir significant unease within the Palace, especially if it involves the release of another memoir. Harry previously revealed that he cut 400 pages from Spare, claiming the content would have been "toxic" for the Royal Family. Now, experts fear those pages—or new revelations—could surface in future publications.
The possibility of Meghan publishing her own tell-all autobiography has also sparked concern, given her past criticisms of life within the royal fold. Fitzwilliams noted that with their high-cost lifestyle—fuelled by private security, luxury living in Montecito, and ventures like Meghan’s American Riviera Orchard—the Sussexes may feel pressure to generate new revenue.
“When you have unhappy exiles, you either get reconciliation or trouble,” Fitzwilliams told the Express. “This devastating blow from Netflix raises the question of how they’ll fund their lifestyle without dishing more dirt.”
His remarks come amid other reports suggesting that Harry's ongoing communication with King Charles could be driven by financial motives, with claims that the Duke may be seeking additional support from the monarchy.
As speculation grows, all eyes are once again on Harry and Meghan—and the potential consequences their next move could have for the Royal Family.
