King Charles has delivered a clear and unmistakable message to his younger brother, the Duke of York, as fresh developments reignite scrutiny around Prince Andrew’s royal standing.
Despite reports that Andrew had been feeling upbeat after U.S. authorities confirmed that Jeffrey Epstein did not keep a list of clients—and reiterated his death was by suicide—the King's stance remains resolute. According to royal insiders, Charles has reminded Andrew that his role within the Royal Family remains unchanged.
The Duke has reportedly been buoyed by the FBI’s decision to close its investigation into Epstein. However, that optimism has been dampened by former President Donald Trump’s apparent hesitation to release certain related documents. This shift has reportedly caused Andrew to experience renewed anxiety.
Royal columnist Ephraim Hardcastle noted that Andrew’s unease has only deepened after receiving a pointed message from the King. "It has not helped that he has received a reminder from the King that events do not allow him to return to royal duty," Hardcastle wrote. "Is there no redemption for the disgraced duke?"
