King Charles Reportedly Concerned Over Trump’s Upcoming UK Visit

Former U.S. President’s potential comments on immigration spark palace unease ahead of state banquet

King Charles III is said to be increasingly uneasy about the upcoming state visit of former U.S. President Donald Trump, amid fears that the American guest could trigger an unexpected political storm during his time in the United Kingdom this September.

According to insiders, the monarch has been cautioned about the possibility of Trump using the high-profile occasion—particularly the traditional state banquet—to make off-script remarks, especially on the highly sensitive issue of immigration.

A senior civil servant reportedly told The Daily Beast there is real concern that Trump may ignore diplomatic protocol and use the formal setting to launch a politically charged speech. The fear has only grown following Trump’s recent remarks during a stop in Scotland, where he warned that “this immigration is killing Europe.”

The Palace is already said to be wary due to Trump’s past comments, including his controversial description of Canada—a Commonwealth realm with King Charles as head of state—as “the 51st state.”

However, royal advisers now view the potential for Trump to make inflammatory statements about the U.K.’s immigration crisis as a far greater risk. Tensions around migration have been rising sharply, with record numbers of undocumented individuals arriving via small boats. This surge has sparked public protests, including incidents outside hotels used to house migrants.

Adding to the pressure, Reform U.K. leader Nigel Farage recently warned that Britain is approaching “civil disobedience on a vast scale” over the issue.

With diplomatic preparations underway, Buckingham Palace is reportedly taking steps to ensure the visit stays focused on tradition and ceremony—though the possibility of political disruption remains a source of quiet but growing concern.
